Empowering youth through literacy

Young Readers Outreach

Young Readers Outreach is a youth-led nonprofit organization and registered New York State charity dedicated to promoting literacy, empathy, and the love of reading.

Founded and operated by passionate students, we believe that access to books can transform lives—especially for children and teens facing financial hardship, personal challenges, or limited educational resources.

Our programs include book donations, community partnerships, and creative literacy initiatives like A Hug Made of Pages, which delivers thoughtfully chosen books—often with personal messages—to young readers in need of comfort, encouragement, or inspiration. Every book we gift is new or gently used, donated by members of our community who believe in the power of stories to connect and heal.

At Young Readers Outreach, we are not just giving away books—we’re building bridges of hope, one page at a time.
